With five mainstream films releasing this Eid-ul-Fitar, we wanted to see which film would lead the front. Ghabrana Nahi Hai stars the versatile Saba Qamar, the dashing Zahid Ahmed, and Syed Jibran as debuting backed with veterans like Nayyar Ejaz.
As we sat in the first show the cinema was almost full-house and everyone buzzed about how well Saba Qamar and Zahid Ahmed will look on the silver-screen, (STAR POWER!). The film promised no politics, loads of laughter, well-crafted sensuality, and some great, desi feels.

FILM REVIEW – Ghabrana Nahi Hai
Zubedia, Zuby (Saba Qamar) a TikTok star, dreaming of being an actress is the glue that attracts all the story together. Zuby is the right feminist as she aims to retrieve the property overtaken by Bhai Miyaan (Nayyar Ejaz) which belongs to her father. Her spearhead motivation, grace, and on-screen presence are such a delight to see.
Syed Jibran, a drama actor, usually seen as an antagonist certainly, nails the comic role. His punchlines, the expression, heartbreak, and all the support for lady-love Zuby are perfect. We are so impressed by how well Jibran has performed. Being a small screen actor to a silver screen support, hats off!
Dashing, dangerous, and clearly Saba’s perfect match, Zahid Ahmed sets the screen on fire. Zahid plays the corrupt policeman who however later turns to Zuby’s side. His amazing details of corruption, redemption, and action are all we needed this Eid. Hum Inko Dekh Kar Ghabara Gaye, because how is he reversing his age anyways. Rambo as Zahid’s sub-ordinate is underutilized in the role but also adds to the comic relief.
“Ghabrana Nahi Hai is the finest motion film from the Pakistani cinema since 2013”
Nayyar Ejaz is nailing as the villain. The songs are pretty decent and well-choreographed. Saba and Zahid’s on-screen chemistry is again reminding fans of how talented these actors are. The crowd thoroughly enjoys the puns, the dance, and the heist.
The film is romance, comedy, and action heist all jammed together as one perfectly. The direction is cinematic, it is a reminder to all competitors that this is how a feature motion film is. Saqib Khan take a bow you have set the bar high.
a 4.5 stars for Ghabrana Nahi Hai.
