We have gone down Meray Paas Tum Ho 9 episodes and perhaps we haven’t seen one single moment where Danish was happy. Ever since the start of the drama, we have seen poor Danish struggling to make his wife happy, who by the way, can only be charmed with money. Mehwish is not only vain, but she is also materialistic and willing to go to any length to get as many luxuries as she wants; case in point, the hotel room scene in Islamabad, where she shares a connecting room with Shahwar and is scene sporting nightwear.
In Episode 9 of Meray Paas Tum Ho Mehwish conveniently and repeatedly lies to Danish about Shahwar and the luxuries he showers on her. No matter how much Danish loves his wife, he’s a man and a man realizes when he is on the verge of losing his woman. And here we are desperately waiting to see how will Danish react once he realizes Mehwish will never choose him over Shahwar, considering Shahwar is going to give her an option in the coming episodes.
Ayeza Khan has been perfect as Mehwish throughout. Right from the word go, she has nailed Mehwish’s character with her expressions and acting. Ayeza Khan delivers perfectly what is expected of Mehwish and in the process makes you hate the woman she is. However, it is Ayeza we’re talking about, a devout housewife and a perfect mother of two, and hence, the actress too confirmed how she wouldn’t want to live the life she did as Mehwish again.
We also have wonderful performances in Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui. The two portray two contrasting characters and yet with perfection. There’s a certain appeal about Adnan Siddiqui playing Shahwar. Although we’ve seen him playing him positive characters mostly, we’re impressed with his negative avatar in Meray Pass Tum Ho. As far as Humayun Saeed is concerned, he makes you feel for Danish with his expressions. Sometimes one feels he’s way too much in love with his wife and it’s too good to be true, but as it happens, Humayun Saeed delivers.
Nadeem Baig’s direction is on spot, but we just wish we would have been given more insight into Mehwish’s character and what transpires between Shahwar and her. The scenes are rushed and often cut, which doesn’t help in explaining the situation clearly.
Here’s looking forward to the next episode of Meray Pass Tum Ho, which we’re sure will be another heartbreaker.
