Oh! What a satisfying episode of Meray Paas Tum Ho this one was. In fact, not only satisfying but this particular episode brought about the twist nobody was expecting. We finally saw Danish man up and stand for something. And it was simply brilliant to see him standing up to Shahwar, just as that spineless man deserved. In fact, Danish gave Shahwar a taste of his own medicine and the audience cheered him on.
Even 15 episodes down, Meray Paas Tum Ho continues to be as exciting as ever. The drama has really lived up to its hype and its no surprise that it has crossed more than 7 million views on YouTube, trending on no.1 ever since it aired.
Another praiseworthy thing about Meray Paas Tum Ho alongside its story and performances are the drama’s powerful dialogues. Each and every line has been carefully written and delivers more than just what it means. Also the actors playing their characters do so with utmost perfection, that it becomes hard to dissociate characters from reality in the drama.
This week’s highlight was definitely the fight scene between Danish and Shahwar but there were two other scenes that blew me off. One, the telephone conversation between Rumi and Danish, where he tells his dad that he’s his strength. Amazing exchange of dialogue and the child artists, Shees Saji Gul is naturally gifted as well.
Second, when Hania, tells her friend how Mehwish is “bala ki khoobsurat” and her friend calls Mehwish a “bala” instead. Amazing lines penned down by Khalil ur Rehman Qamar. The dialogues convey more than just words. They resonate with the personality of the person being described and its very rare that one comes across such a brilliantly written piece.
So yes, for us, Meray Paas Tum Ho is an out and out winner. A drama that has set its own benchmark for the year and perhaps could be counted amongst the top drama for the year 2019.
