Mangoes – A Slice of Life, an original Canadian multilingual TV show by Suhrwardy Brothers all set to premiere in Pakistan. The Urdu show features Adeel Suhrwardy, Khurram Suhrwardy and Maha Warsi playing main characters of Sami, Rakay, and Asha, portraying the life and struggles of young individuals with South Asian background who leave their homeland to settle in Canada with big dreams and high hopes. The show is available in four languages including Urdu, English, Punjabi, and Hindi for multicultural audiences across the globe.
The six episodes series offers a look into the lives and everyday stories of new Canadians with a comedic and light-hearted tone. The first two seasons of the show have already garnered praises with a cult following from South Asian audiences throughout the world. The new season titled “A Slice of Life” is presented in a way that new audience will not feel missed out.
“We had an exclusive window with OMNI channel of Rogers Media, who commissioned this series, Mangoes, in Canada. We are excited to bring our much-celebrated show to the audiences of our homeland and we are sure that the Pakistani audience will be able to relate to it as much as the global audience did.”, said Adeel and Khurram Suhrwardy, the writers and directors of the show who also star in roles of Sami and Rakay in the series.
Mangoes is the first Urdu language TV show produced by Pakistanis that was aired on prime time in North America followed by extensive marketing which also had the series posters printed on buses and cinema halls across Canada.

While the OST of the First Season, “Keh Dena” by the legendary pop singer Alamgir and Canadian singer Kristie Yung, remains one of the biggest international hits to date, this Season’s background score is being produced by Toronto based Pakistani musician and member of Josh band, Qurram Hussain. Qurram has previously produced music for four music albums of Josh and Urwa Hocane and Bilal Ashraf starrer, Rangreza. This will be his first-ever experience of producing a drama score.
