Speaking at Bol Nights With Ahsan Khan about the MeToo Movement, Ayesha Omar opened up about being a victim of sexual harassment during her career and life adding that she does not have the strength to talk about it yet.
Ayesha started off by talking about how significant the MeToo movement is all together and how it has empowered victims.
“This movement is extremely important because it takes a lot for the people who’ve been victims to open up about their experiences. There are so many men and women in our own industry who have been through it.”

She then went on to talk about her own case and how she can relate to the victims.
“I have been through harassment in my career and my life. I understand how it feels,” the Bulbulay actress revealed.
She further added, “I don’t have the courage to talk about it yet, maybe someday I will but I totally relate to everybody who has been through it.”
“There is no time to come out with it,” she asserted.
However, this is not the first time Ayesha has talked about her harassment ordeal publicly. Two years ago, the actress had revealed on another talk show Geo News Lekin for the very first time that she too has been a victim of “serious harassment” by a member of the industry while sharing her views on the Meesha Shafi-Ali Zafar case.
“I hope I’m as brave as Meesha Shafi one day,” she had said then. “The thing is that it’s when people like Meesha come forward, that other people draw the strength to tell their stories.”
